Job Title: Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
Compensation: $290-350K Bonus LTIP

The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a strategic results-driven Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead the people function for a large multi-state distribution organization with over 3000 employees across warehouse transportation logistics and corporate operations. The CHRO will serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team driving enterprise-wide talent strategy workforce optimization culture transformation and organizational effectiveness in a fast-paced operationally intensive environment.
This executive will partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership to align human capital strategies with business objectives ensure regulatory compliance across multiple states and build scalable HR infrastructure to support growth operational excellence and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-year human capital strategy aligned with corporate growth operational performance and distribution network expansion.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board on workforce planning succession strategy and organizational design.
- Lead cultural initiatives that promote safety accountability performance and employee engagement across geographically dispersed sites.
- Design enterprise workforce planning models to support large-scale warehouse and transportation operations.
- Oversee talent acquisition strategy for high-volume hourly hiring as well as leadership recruitment.
- Build leadership development and succession planning frameworks to strengthen bench strength across distribution centers and corporate functions.
- Implement performance management systems that drive productivity and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee employee relations investigations and risk mitigation strategies.
- Partner with operations leadership to proactively manage workforce challenges including turnover engagement and retention.
- Lead labor relations strategy where applicable including union negotiations and contract administration.
- Design and oversee competitive compensation and benefits programs aligned with industry benchmarks.
- Lead payroll benefits administration HRIS and HR shared services functions.
- Drive cost efficiency and ROI across benefits and workforce investments.
- Champion a culture of safety inclusion operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee engagement surveys and action planning across distribution facilities.
- Partner with operations leadership to integrate HR initiatives into frontline workforce strategies.
- Leverage HR analytics to inform decision-making related to turnover productivity labor costs and workforce trends.
- Modernize HR systems and processes to improve scalability automation and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree or MBA preferred.
- 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience including senior executive-level responsibility.
- Experience in large-scale distribution logistics supply chain transportation manufacturing or similarly complex multi-site operations strongly preferred.
- Proven experience leading HR for organizations with 3000 employees across multiple states.
- Deep knowledge of multi-state employment law and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success managing high-volume hourly workforce environments.
- Experience with union environments preferred.
- Strong business acumen with ability to connect HR strategy to operational KPIs and financial performance.
