Job Summary
As a Financial Analyst II you will closely work with business and finance leaders to develop financial models for both short and long term business and financial goals evaluate new business opportunities and drive business initiatives for projects with strategic significance and high exposure. Additional responsibilities include weekly monthly and quarterly reporting of financial performance and ad-hoc business analysis support. This role requires a self-starter and independent individual with strong financial modeling abilities problem solving skills a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.
The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This is a high visibility role working across multiple teams in Amazon. The individual will have regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication addition this role requires strong business sense and capability to independently drive business partnership.

About the team
AST Finance team is
- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 5 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 5 years of identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process re-engineering quality assurance) experience
- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
