Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing friendly responsive service creating unforgettable moments providingan exceptional experience. TheSupervisorsprimaryobjectiveis tomaintainour policies procedures and steps of service. Working as a teamassistservice staff goingabove and beyondexpectation of our guests.
Type:Part-Time or Full-time
Pay scale:$20.00-$30.00/hr
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate restaurant to specifications upholdinghigh standardsand impeccable service
- Ensure service style and standards are met and guest expectations are exceeded
- Checking in with staff to ensure that all staffareon time and in uniformaccording toour standards
- Identifyguest needs and respond proactively toalltheir concerns
- Monitors guests and internal feedback and takes corrective action asensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction
- Helpmaintainsanitary practices for food handling general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
- Ensure facility lighting sound and TVs are set per standard
- Activelytouching tables and leading by example
- Building relationships with guests vendors sistervenuesand other hospitality venues
- Ensure all staff closing side-work and cleaning duties are completedbystandard
- Ensure facility closing checklist is complete
- Check in with kitchen and BOH operations throughout scheduled shifts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Three (3) years of experience in a similar position
- Excellent knowledge of wine spirits and liquors and their proper service
- Proficiencyin POS programs
- A general knowledge and understanding of San Diego current events cultural and culinary happenings
- Experience as a server inan upper-casual and/or fine-dining restaurant or lounge setting
- Has a basic understanding of Department ofLabor standards.

- Excellent communication skills (verballyinteractingwith management staff and guests)
- Solution oriented
- Ability to work well in stressful high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to accept constructive criticism and work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Ability to implement and uphold service standards
- Conflict resolution sensibility both with staff and guest
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The noise level in the work environmentusually isloud.
- The employee may be exposed to the risks associatedinattemptingto resolve issues with difficult guests.
- Work flexible hours that may include early mornings evenings weekendsnightsand/or holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to speak hear understand read and write the English language
- Must be able to sitstandor walk for up to 8 hours at a time
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly
- Must be able to bend stoop and climb
- Must be able to push and pull
Certificates Licenses and Registrations:
- Serve safe certificate Management course
- Anti-harassment and nondiscrimination Management 3-hour class
- RBS Responsible Alcohol Service
