The Role
As a History Teacher you will play a key role in fostering analytical thinking debate and a deep understanding of historical context across KS3KS5.
Your responsibilities will include:
Teaching engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 35
Delivering GCSE and A Level History in line with current specifications
Encouraging pupils to think critically evaluate evidence and construct well-argued responses
Planning creative and knowledge-rich lessons that stretch high achievers while supporting all learners
Monitoring assessing and tracking student progress with clear actionable feedback
Preparing students thoroughly for examinations and coursework requirements
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental innovation
Supporting or leading enrichment opportunities such as history societies trips guest lectures or debating initiatives
Playing an active role in the wider academic and pastoral life of the school
