The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach Geography across Key Stages 35 including GCSE and A Level

• Deliver lessons that promote analytical thinking fieldwork skills and global awareness

• Inspire pupils to engage critically with environmental social and geopolitical issues

• Plan well-structured academically rigorous lessons tailored to stretch and challenge able learners

• Monitor progress carefully and provide high-quality developmental feedback

• Prepare pupils thoroughly for examinations and independent research components

• Contribute to curriculum innovation and the continued development of the Geography provision

• Lead or support enrichment opportunities such as field trips (local and international) Geography Society Model United Nations or sustainability initiatives

• Play a full and active role in the wider life of the school including pastoral responsibilities

• Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status

• Has a degree in Geography or a closely related discipline

• Demonstrates strong academic subject knowledge
