The Role
The successful candidate will:
Teach Geography across Key Stages 35 including GCSE and A Level
Deliver lessons that promote analytical thinking fieldwork skills and global awareness
Inspire pupils to engage critically with environmental social and geopolitical issues
Plan well-structured academically rigorous lessons tailored to stretch and challenge able learners
Monitor progress carefully and provide high-quality developmental feedback
Prepare pupils thoroughly for examinations and independent research components
Contribute to curriculum innovation and the continued development of the Geography provision
Lead or support enrichment opportunities such as field trips (local and international) Geography Society Model United Nations or sustainability initiatives
Play a full and active role in the wider life of the school including pastoral responsibilities
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a teacher who:
Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status
Has a degree in Geography or a closely related discipline
Demonstrates strong academic subject knowledge
Can inspire intellectual curiosity and independent scholarship
Maintains high expectations for both academic achievement and conduct
Is reflective ambitious and committed to ongoing professional development
Contributes positively to the collaborative ethos of an independent school community
