This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays leave or benefits.
Job Description
This position will be responsible for maintaining all election related records accurately and completely and in accordance with records retention policies and federal state and local laws. The incumbent will also ensure secure storage tracking and retrieval of physical and digital election files throughout the retention life cycle. It further supports transparency and audit readiness by organizing records for timely access during reviews recounts or public information requests. Responsibilities include coordination with election staff to implement standard retention procedures and safeguards of sensitive information.
Essential DutiesMaintain and update the election records retention schedule based on statutory requirements.
Organize label and archive election documents ballots forms and digital files for secure long-term storage.
Monitor retention timelines and coordinate timely destruction of records once legally eligible.
Track chain of custody documentation for all election materials.
Prepare records for audits recounts investigations or public records requests.
Ensure secure handling and storage of sensitive or confidential election information.
Conduct periodic reviews of stored materials to ensure compliance and proper organization.
Document and report any discrepancies missing records or compliance concerns.
Public Speaking Duties

- This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours weekends and/or holidays.
Hourly rate
$17/hour
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. AND
- One year of general office/customer service experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Additional requirements such as management/supervisory experience licenses and/or certifications
