What do we do
The Stafford facility is part of Caterpillars Large Power Systems Division. Within ourstate-of-the-artfacilities weare able todesign & manufacture engines tailored to meet the precise requirements of our customers for use anywhere in the world from the Arctic Circle to the Deserts of Chile providing power solutions exactly when and whererequired. Our engines are reliable in a crisis keeping hospitals online sporting fixtures playing or powering the grid when power stations fail.

What experiences can we offer you
During this two-year programme you will be given the opportunity to experience various aspects of the full end to end supply chain designed to provide you with a solid foundation in global manufacturing. Key focus areas include supply chain planning (SCP) master production scheduling (MPS) & material management. You will experience:
Advanced Supply Chain Analytics leveraging data-driven insights to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance
Transportation & Freight Operations managing carrier relationships cost control and delivery efficiency
Order & Demand Planning aligning customer orders with demand forecasts to ensure product availability
Forecasting & Predictive Modelling utilizing statistical tools to anticipate market trends and demand fluctuations
Production Scheduling & Capacity Planning optimizing manufacturing timelines and resource allocation
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) strengthening supplier partnerships through strategic collaboration performance monitoring and streamlined procurement and fulfilment processes

Who are we looking for
Were looking for people who can show us a highly participative working style and who thrive in a team of committed professionals. Great analytical presentation skills and an ability to communicate at all levels. You should be on track or have achieved a 2:1 in one of the following subjects:
Business
Procurement
Supply Chain Management
Economics
Engineering
In addition a driving license is essential for this position.

Here is a brief overview of what you can expect when applying to our Early Career roles
Online Application: The first stage of the process is to complete the online application and attach your CV this must be done before the closing date of the role that youre applying for. Once we reach the close date we will begin reviewing all our applications this may take a little while and we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know if you have been successful in moving forward to the next stage.
Stage one Video Interview: If selected you will be invited to complete a user-friendly video interview which will then be reviewed by the Hiring this stage if you are successful you will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre which we anticipate will be held on 7th May 2026 onsite at our Stafford facility so please try to keep that date free. We would also recommend that you check your spam emails and your Workday account for updates.
Stage two - Assessment Centre: The Assessment Centre Day will look at a range of behaviours such as teamwork decision-making communication and problem-solving. We aim to make these days fun inclusive and as relaxed as possible.
Stage three Offer: After the Assessment Centre the Caterpillar team will review the feedback and extend offers to our preferred candidates we aim to do this as quickly as possible. Graduates will start on 7th September 2026. We look forward to receiving your application to join Caterpillar!
