The Security Officer Protective Services reports directly to the Security Manager Protective Services. As a Security Officer specializing in CCTV and Access Control Monitoring this position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the buildings assets. The primary responsibilities will revolve around effectively operating and managing the CCTV surveillance systems and access control technologies to detect potential security breaches unauthorized access or suspicious activities. Your role is to monitor and respond to security events mitigate risks and create a secure environment for our clients and their assets.

Support the Manager Protective Services in developing and delivering the Syntax security strategy regionally and globally as required.
Conduct regular inspections of access points checking for security vulnerabilities and ensuring that all access control devices are functioning properly.
Monitor multiple CCTV screens and video feeds to identify potential security threats theft vandalism or any suspicious behavior.
Promptly react to incidents by assessing the severity of the situation and escalating it to the appropriate authorities as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of CCTV footage incidents and actions taken during each shift.
Conduct investigations and loss prevention activities
Participate in company wide information security awareness and training activities
Research and stay aware of new governance risk and compliance frameworks standards and regulations
Participate in company sponsored and industry relevant workshops conventions and working groups
Support the implementation of policies standards and procedures to assure compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements as well as good security practices.
Collaborate with and support all other departments in the execution of company objectives.
Incident reporting and documentation.
o Prepare detailed incident reports providing a comprehensive account of security breaches suspicious activities and system malfunctions.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of incidents actions taken and resolution status for future reference and analysis.

Experience in the deployment of security related assets:
Experience in creating and maintaining security related documentation to meet audit and regulatory/compliance needs.

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of work experience in security operations access authorization or other related/relevant fields.
Current or prior security related certifications or training.
