About the role

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a rewarding career opportunity for a Senior Project Officer to join our Leasing and Property Management team. As a Senior Project Officer you will play a key role in identifying securing and managing leasing and licensing opportunities with third parties to enhance visitor experiences across the national park estate. The role involves promoting opportunities negotiating and managing agreements ensuring compliance with legislation and policy and providing highlevel advice to support optimal outcomes.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to progress complex leasing matters. This includes preparing highquality documentation managing multiple projects with competing priorities and contributing to initiatives that support the effective appropriate and sustainable use of NPWSmanaged properties. The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills a high level of attention to detail the ability to exercise sound judgement and the capacity to adapt to changing priorities.

About You

You will bring demonstrated experience in a property procurement or legal environment with strong negotiation and contract management skills. You will be comfortable providing highlevel advice to a range of stakeholders interpreting and applying legislation policy and governance frameworks managing multiple projects and working collaboratively to achieve outcomes.

Essential requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Project management skills and experience with an understanding of contemporary best practice in procurement tendering and contract preparation in managing project teams consultants and contractors and in applying environmental safety and risk management policies and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing implementing and reviewing strategic plans policies and programs and in providing strategic and operational advice and recommendations to senior management.
