Our manufacturing facility is looking for a new production operative / assembler to join the team in Tiverton Devon.

Dormakaba (Kaba Locks ltd) has been a major employer in the Tiverton area since 1996 manufacturing a range of products for various clients across the UK and overseas. The company is known for its high-quality product offering reliability and longevity to its customers. Due to a retirement we are looking for an additional team member to join our manufacturing team.

A job that matters: your tasks

You would be engaged in a variety of manufacturing duties within the LAC team. This could be anything from the bench assembly of precise and intricate locking systems to be distributed throughout the UK and overseas to the operation of automated machinery to manufacture various parts. The orders can be ofvarious sizesand types dependant on what application they are used for and the work is varied with lots of variety in your day-to-day tasks. We are also striving toimprove things within the facility so you will get the opportunity to be involved in Lean initiatives to add value to the department so this will need someone who is independent of thought and can think ontheirfeet as well as a trustworthy individual who takes responsibility for what they do.

Thisis a smallsupportiveand friendly team who collaborate extensively to ensure that wemaintainhigh standardsof quality and work together to meet our deadlines. Full training will be given.

An experience that matters: your skills

• The ability to learn quickly and developnewskills and who can work to deadlines.

• Demonstrating eitherpreviousexperiencein precision assembly ORhave an outside interest in a skill or pastime where manual dexterity is vital.

• Physically fit with excellent eyesight for close work and the ability to follow written build instructions accurately.

• Educated to GCSE level Good written and verbal communication
