1. Demand Planning & Forecasting Strategy

Own forecasting models incorporating seasonality promotions growth projections and campaign impact

Partner with Category & Finance teams for annual and quarterly planning (AOP alignment)

Drive forecast accuracy improvements and reduce variance
-
2. Inventory Optimization
-
Define inventory norms (WOC safety stock reorder points)
-
Balance service levels vs working capital targets
-
Drive reduction in ageing liquidation strategy and excess stock management
-
3. Vendor & Supply Management
-
Lead vendor performance reviews (OTIF lead times fill rate)
-
Develop replenishment strategies (JIT safety stock models forward buying)
-
Negotiate supply timelines and buffer planning for peak periods
-
4. Campaign & Launch Planning
-
Lead inventory planning for major sales events launches and seasonal spikes
-
Ensure capacity alignment across warehousing and last-mile operations
-
5. Data & Automation
-
Build advanced dashboards and predictive planning frameworks
-
Drive system improvements in planning tools / ERP

Introduce automation in replenishment and exception management

6. Team Leadership

Manage and mentor planning team

Set KPIs and performance benchmarks
