Job Summary

Job Title: Contract Analyst
Location: Valencia CA 91355

Job Duration: 4 Weeks (Possible extension or possible contract to hire depending on the need.)
Shift: Day Shift Monday through Friday 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM

Job Overview:

  • Reporting to the CFO the Contracts Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating the contract management process and ensuring the organization adheres to the Contract Management Policy. Works closely with management to assist them in the contracting process. Negotiates contract terms with vendors as directed. Monitors timelines for completing contracts and ensures established timelines are met.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Generate review coordinate and execute contracts with vendors and service providers.
  • Review new and renewed contractual documents and agreements for accuracy and compliance with company s contract requirements.
  • Provide input and recommendations to CFO and management team on pending contracts. Arrange meetings as appropriate to complete contracts and act as a liaison between hospital and outside counsel for drafting and/or reviewing contractual language when necessary.
  • Optimize contract process develop key performance indicators and maintain records of contract activity for benchmark purposes.
  • With the CFO monitor contractual regulatory and statutory requirements and apply the requirements to contracts.
  • Manage completion of the contract process and checklist up to and including verification of signatures and additional forms as required by policy arrange for uploading to contract database/library (MediTract).
  • Check OIG and SAM Websites to validate non-excluded provider status.
  • Review and identify potential Conflicts of Interest and report to the Compliance Department as appropriate.
  • Confirm insurance language is applicable and to current standards and hospital policies. Consult with Risk Management as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Privacy Officer to ensure the Business Associate Agreement (BAA) of a contract meets company s requirements.
  • Becomes super-user of contract management system and maximizes functionality of system. Ensures system set-up and document filings are intuitive and provides easy access and search capabilities for users. Assists in implementing upgrades to the system.

  • Quality Improvement: Contributes ideas suggestions and solutions to continuously improve processes procedures methods and productivity.
  • Information Management: Maintains confidentiality security and integrity of all health information. Follows HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy.
  • Risk Management: Cooperates fully in all risk management activities and investigations.
  • Patient Safety: Demonstrates knowledge of observes and complies with hospital Patient Safety Program and plan.
  • Environment of Care: Demonstrates knowledge of observes and complies with hospital safety infection prevention and control policies/procedures and the use of personal protective equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Licensure and Certification:

  • Paralegal preferred

Education:

  • 4-year degree in one of the related fields of business law finance or contracts is preferred

Experience:

  • Experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts in a business setting
  • Some former legal training or education particularly around contracts is desired

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent writing skills
  • A high level of integrity and trust
  • Extensive familiarity with health care relevant legislation and standards for the protection of health information and patient privacy

Equipment:

  • Able to utilize office equipment
  • Computer literate

Physical Demands Clerical/Administrative Non-Patient Care:

  • Frequent sitting and standing/walking with frequent position change.
  • Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering grasping and forward reaching between waist and chest level.
  • Occasional/intermittent reaching at or above shoulder level.
  • Occasional/intermittent bending squatting kneeling pushing/pulling twisting and climbing.
  • Occasional/intermittent lifting and carrying objects/equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Continuous use of near vision hearing and verbal communication skills in handling
