Position Summary:

This positionis responsible forsorting through chicks onMondayWednesdayand Thursdayas well ascleaning and sanitizing the hatchery.On Tuesdayand Friday this positionis responsible forfilling up sanitation containersas well ascleaning and sanitizing the hatcheryand washing boxes.Othersduties may be assigned.

Essential DutiesandResponsibilties

Cleans andsanitizesthehatchery with a pressure washer(30%).

Places approximately 1500 chick boxes weighing an average of 2 pounds into washer to be washed and sanitized (30%).

Washes and sanitizes the dirty side box room with a pressure washer(30%).

Other Duties Responsibilities and Activities

Othersduties responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.Such as: Properly euthanizing weak/ill chicksin accordance withcompany policy setting eggs dumping cull eggs pulling empty farm and setter buggies to the EggRoomand washing and sanitizing the pull room with a pressure washer and reads setters.Must be able to read and write to complete daily checklists (10%).

Thejobsiteis abiosecureenvironment which requiresshoweringchanging clothing and footwearbefore entering the facility.Appropriate clothingand footwearisprovided by the Company.No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelryand body piercings covered by appropriate clothing.Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid anyavian species (chickens ducks birds etc.).Must be willing to signand abide bytheCompanyBiosecurityand Company Animal WelfareGuidelines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Physical:Mustuse safe lifting techniques.Mustregularlypull empty farm and setter buggies on casters weighingapproximately 200 pounds.Must occasionally push/pull setter buggies on casters weighingapproximately 700-1300pounds.Must regularly dump cull eggs weighing approximately 12 pounds.Must regularly lift chick boxes weighing approximately 2 pounds.Must be able to obtain scissor lift certification.Must be able to regularly bendstoopand reach above head.While performing the duties of this job the employee isregularly required tostandmajority of shift (concrete floor);walk;use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls;reach withhands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include closevision;distancevision;peripheralvision;depthperception;and the ability to adjust focus.Must havegood communicationskills to accuratelycoveyopinions and concerns.

Tools and Equipment:

Environment: Requiredto work on wet slippery surfacesand alsoin hot dry dustywetand cold environments.

Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safetygoggles face shield chemical gloves waterproof apronearplugsand rubber boots are required.NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will beworkas needed.Safety glasses are required.

Chemicals Commonly Used: Disinfectantsandfoamers.

Safety: Will be trained to recognize andcomply withall safety policies.Teammember isexpected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures.These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication Respiratory ProtectionLOTOand Personal Protective Equipment. Teammember isexpected to identify address and mitigate safety related risks.
