Job Summary

  • Part-Time (34.2hrs per week 0.9 FTE) Ongoing
  • Outreach role based in Abbotsford
  • SCHADS Level 5 role with above award rates

We are seeking an experienced Senior AOD Care & Recovery Coordinator to provide coordinated recovery-oriented alcohol and other drug (AOD) support to clients with complex needs within a harm reduction framework.

About the Role

In this part-time position you will:

  • Lead care coordination for clients experiencing significant substance use impacts
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop collaborative client-centred care plans
  • Provide advocacy referrals and maintain strong interagency collaboration
  • Deliver brief interventions relapse prevention strategies and group work as appropriate
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure continuity of care
  • Contribute to a supportive learning-focused team culture within Therapeutic Services
  • Mentor and provide guidance to colleagues students and volunteers where required

About You

You will have a relevant health and/or welfare tertiary qualification in Social Work Psychology Nursing Allied Health Sciences and/or a Certificate IV in AOD (or completion of AOD core competencies or willingness to complete within the first 24 months of employment). In addition you will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience in AOD case management care coordination assessment and treatment planning
  • Strong commitment to recovery-oriented harm minimisation approaches
  • Ability to work respectfully and non-judgementally with LGBTIQ communities and people living with HIV
  • Experience providing guidance or mentorship in a clinical or professional setting
