The Opportunity:
We areseekinga dedicated and enthusiastic Research Assistant or Research Associate to join our team and contribute to our mission of transforming the worlds salt supply and reducing global sodium consumption.We are seeking someone who is passionate about public health and eager to learn.
In this role you will help keep the centre functioning smoothly while supporting a range of research and advocacy activities.
This position also offers the potential to progress into a PhD that is aligned with the Centres work.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Report writing
Initiate and conduct research under limited supervision
Contribute towards building future projects and grant applications
Assistin the preparation of Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and Governance submissions
Effectively produce andmaintainproject data.
Conduct data analysis and prepare data for publications and reporting
Regularly update study tracking tools and systems
Manage effective communication with internal and external study staff and key stakeholders
Ad hoctasksasrequired

Skills Knowledge and Experience/ Our Successful Candidate
Essential
Tertiary qualifications innutritionscienceor healthcare discipline
Completed a masters or honours degree or completing a masters degree
Excellent written language communication skills and ability to draft a wide range of documents
Experience in quantitativeand/or qualitativeresearch methodologies
Excellenttime management andorganisational skillshaving the ability to take initiative and follow up independently
Good attention to detail
Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of productsand the internet
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities
Ability to work well within a research team and excellent interpersonal skills
Strong focus on quality of work.
Desirable
Research experience in food policy and salt reduction
