Job Summary:

Under thegeneral supervisionof the Corporate Compliance Officer the Compliance Manager ensures that our organizations operations align with our goals policies and regulatory requirements. This role involvesoverseeing training licensing health plan payer enrollmentHRSA Health Center Program standardsaudit tracking andconductinginternalaudits to assess compliance with federal and state regulations as well as internal policies. The Compliance Managerimplementsoperational policies toalign with company goals and regulatory stayinformed about legislative changes industry trends and best practices allowing the individual toidentifyopportunities for improvement and implement necessary process project management leadershipevaluatesproject effectivenessandenhanceorganizational strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in a related fieldwithappropriatecombination of education and experience.

  • Desirable - 2 years experience in a healthcare or health plan compliance position.

  • Strong analytical employee relations and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent writing business communication editing and proofreading skills.

  • Strong project managementandproblem solvingskills.

  • Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner withpersonsof all backgrounds.

  • Proactiveself-motivatedand able to work independentlyas well as on a team with the ability to exercise sound independent judgment.

  • Ability tomaintaina high levelof confidentiality a professionaldemeanorand mustrepresentthe organization in a positive manner at all times.

  • Ability toestablishand maintain positive and professional working relationships.

  • Must be able to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.

  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM with minimal errors.

  • Must have good computer skills using Microsoft Office and the ability to use Axis departmental systems.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard company operations by upholding confidentiality of company and compliance information aligning actions with company policies and regulatory statutes.

  • Maintain current knowledge of governmental regulations pertinent tocommunity health centers andFQHCs promptly notify relevantsenior managementof impending changes.

  • Conduct effectiveinterdepartmental communication to ensuretimelycompletion oftaskrelated to corporate complianceand policies.

  • Collaborate with Human Resources and relevant stakeholders to design implementadministerandmonitora comprehensive training program catering to both new hires and existing staff.

  • Manage internal auditprogramto ensure continuous readiness for HRSA Operational Visits (OSVs) and otheras needed federal and state audits.

  • Manage organizational licensing renewals initiation of new licensing and tracking all related follow-up actions to ensure our sites are adequately licensed withoutlapse.

  • Conduct organizational health plan enrollment and monitoringfor all payers and entities requiring enrollment and credentialing.

  • Oversee compliance related incidents includingintake tracking documentation and response procedures.

  • Overseetrackingexternal audits audit report collection and ensure all corrective actions have been addressed.

  • Conduct routine internal compliance auditsidentifyingvulnerabilitiesandimplementingcorrective measures.

  • Conduct internal audits to verify posting of all state and federal compliance documents at each site.

  • Research and analyze complex issues ensuringaccurateinterpretation of internal and external guidelines.

  • Provide consultative support tomanagementand staffregardingcompliance and training requirements.

  • Provide administrative support including drafting correspondence organizing meetings processing confidential documents andmonitoringdeadlines.

  • Participate as an active member of the Corporate Compliance Committee and other committees as needed.

  • Participate in staff meetings attend othermeetingand training events as assigned.

  • May berequiredto perform other related duties responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Work is normally performed in a typical clinic office work environment (and in some cases telecommuting sites). The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. Physical: Occasionally required to carry/lift/push/pull/move up to 20lbs. Occasional travel to other Axis health centers and other occasional travel will be required.

Equipment: Frequently required to use repetitive motion of hands and feet to operate a computer keyboard telephone copier and other office equipment for extended periods.

Sensory: Frequently required to read documents written reports and signage. Must be able to distinguish normal sounds with some background noise as in answering the phone interacting with staff etc. Must be able to speak clearly understand normal communication and be understood. Must be able to see clearly and have the ability to judge distances and spatial relationships to see objects where and as they actually are.

Cognitive: Must be able to analyze the information being received count accurately concentrate and focus on the given task summarize the information being received accurately interpret written data synthesize information from multiple sources write summaries as needed interpret written or verbal instructions and recognize social or professional behavioral cues.

Environmental Conditions: Frequent exposure to varied office (medical clinic/office) environments. Rare exposure to dust and loud noises.
