Mechanical Technician Rotary (Diesel Engine)
Job Summary
To carry out maintenance repair and overhauling of diesel engines and associated rotary equipment during routine operations and plant turnaround activities ensuring safe reliable and efficient plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complete dismantling inspection troubleshooting repair and overhauling of diesel engines pumps and turbo machinery.
- Carry out alignment assembly installation and commissioning of diesel-driven rotary equipment.
- Conduct test runs and performance checks after maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
- Execute preventive corrective and breakdown maintenance activities in refinery and chemical plant environments.
- Perform minor and routine maintenance of associated static equipment as required.
- Interpret technical drawings maintenance manuals and equipment specifications.
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations permit-to-work systems and company safety standards at all times.
- Support shutdown and turnaround activities within scheduled timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience in Petrochemical or Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven experience in Refinery / Chemical Plant Turnaround projects.
- Strong hands-on expertise in diesel engine overhauling and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of mechanical seals bearings couplings lubrication systems and alignment techniques.
- Ability to work independently and within a team under site supervision.
- Good command of English (spoken and written).
