Role Summary

The Platform Engineer will work within the SRE team to build enhance and support enterprise-grade monitoring observability and automation platforms. The engineer will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure platform reliability scalability and integration with key IT operations tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain infrastructure components supporting monitoring and observability platforms (Grafana Prometheus Splunk Dynatrace OpsRamp SolarWinds).
• Deploy maintain and troubleshoot containerized workloads on OpenShift.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployments configuration and data pipelines.
• Integrate observability platforms with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Implement dashboards alerting rules and performance metrics following SRE best practices.
• Troubleshoot platform issues performance bottlenecks and integration failures.
• Collaborate with SRE application teams and TOC for operational excellence.
• Ensure platform security compliance and adherence to governance policies.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in Linux networking fundamentals and cloud concepts.
• Hands-on with observability tools: Grafana Prometheus Splunk Dynatrace OpsRamp SolarWinds.
• Expertise in scripting (Python Shell PowerShell).
• Strong understanding of MELT: Metrics Events Logs & Traces.
• Experience with containers & orchestration: OpenShift Docker.
• Knowledge of SLI/SLO/Error Budgets and core SRE practices.
• Strong hands-on with at least 2 major observability tools

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible).
• API integration experience.
• Knowledge of automation tools (Power Automate Jenkins Git).
