What You Will Do
- Serves as academic advisor for nursing students (graduate and/or undergraduate).
- The Academic Advisor is responsible for continuous conscientious file management academic advising registration of assigned nursing students and development of student program progression plans.
- Responsibilities also include meeting with prospective students and families to provide them with School of Nursing information when needed.
- This position maintains summary data on inquiries prospective students applicants admitted students enrolled students and inactive students for purposes of keeping the Director of Student Services the Assistant Deans the Associate Dean for Academic Programs and the Dean fully informed of nursing enrollment.
- The Advisor assists with recruitment of students and provides feedback in preparation of the annual recruitment plan for the School of Nursing. This position works closely with the Director of Student Services to ensure proper workflow and performs tasks as assigned.
- S/he provides input and participates in university recruitment events and School of Nursing student related events.
- This position completes other duties as assigned by the Dean of the School of Nursing.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
Academic Advisor I: Masters Degree - $42500.00
Academic Advisor II: Masters Degree and Two (2) full years of direct advising experience - $45500.00
Preferred: Masters Degree in college student personnel higher education or a related field. Experience in college admissions and/or advisement and/or counseling preferred. Proficiency in computer record keeping skills ability to work effectively with high volumes of students faculty and administration and demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position are essential. Excellent communication skills.
