Calibration Technician III

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. Position: Calibration Technician

What youll do

• Monitor and maintain the calibration database for all Archer Aviation locations
• Manage schedules and relationship with Calibration suppliers to ensure timely responses to calibration requests
• Develop procedures as required to perform routine calibration of precision measurement instruments including but not limited to gauges sensors pressure testers torque wrenches and other related tools in-house
• Ensure all new purchased equipment and instruments are properly documented and cataloged within the Calibration database
• Ensure instruments conform to national and international standards (e.g. NIST ISO FAA or other relevant bodies)

What you need

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3 years experience as a Calibration Technician ideally within the aerospace manufacturing or engineering industries

• Ability to work within a team environment

Bonus qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Quality Assurance Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 standards
• Familiarity with Devonway
• Familiarity with gage repeatability & reproducibility evaluations
• Familiarity with statistical process analysis
• Experience with SAP
