Blank Childrens Hospital

Blank Childrens Hospital a service of UnityPoint Health - Des Moines is completelydedicated to meeting the unique health care needs of children. Blank Childrens is a 108-bed environment that embraces and encourages families to be a part of their childs healing and recovery. Everything from equipment to decor is designed specifically for children.

The role:

• Provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting
• Conduct routine wellness exams acute care visits and developmental screenings
• Coordinate care with pediatric specialists
• Educate families on wellness nutrition safety and preventive care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical team meetings

The clinic:

• Established team of 8 physicians and 4 advanced practitioners
• Established growing outpatient practice serving the Des Moines community from within the walls of Blank Childrens Hospital
• Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
• Experienced staff both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community
• Full-time position including dedicated administrative time with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
• 24/7 dedicated pediatric hospitalist program is responsible for pediatric inpatients and newborn nursery
• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

• Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of State
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
