Job Title: Development Research Technician (Emissions Technician)
Salary: 27914 per annum Dependent Upon Experience
Location: Test & Development Engineering - Peterborough

Caterpillars Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L Cat and Perkins engines that power over 5000 applications including Marine Petroleum Industrial Applications Electric Generators and Locomotives. Job Summary
This role will support the Emissions Measurement Services department in our dedicated state-of-the-art Test & Development Engineering centre at the Caterpillar Business Park Peterborough UK.
The candidate will have the knowledge base skills and experience to be able to install service calibrate and maintain our fleet of emissions measurement equipment this will include assisting engineers in conducting technical investigations of current and future emissions measurement technologies and processes.
Additional Info
Travel is Optional and is limited to calibrating equipment at other sites within the UK
Shift working may be required
What You Will Do
Practical hands-on responsibility for evaluating and deploying measurement equipment
Operating measurement equipment and conducting diagnostic investigations
Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and calibration of elctronic measurement equipment
Modifications to facility plant/test rigs and equipment
Evaluating products and processes in the emissions measurement discipline
Provide first line breakdown cover
Project Management / Ownership where required
