As a Senior Startup Investment Manager within AWS you will work with venture capital firms (or angel investors) to accelerate portfolio company success. Youll work closely with key investors to unlock the full potential of their portfolio companies on AWS enabling faster innovation and scaling. Your role focuses on creating meaningful initiatives between the investors helping startups leverage cloud to achieve breakthrough growth. Youll combine deep technical understanding of cloud and emerging technologies such as generative AI with business acumen to identify opportunities and ensure startups have access to the tools expertise and support needed to build world-changing products on AWS infrastructure.
Key job responsibilities
- Execute and drive initiatives with venture firms develop investor-focused programs that accelerate portfolio company success
- Design and implement solutions that address specific startup and investor needs
- Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives involving AWS Startups Sales Marketing and Product teams
- Track program effectiveness and provide insights based on feedback and results
- Gather early-stage market signals from investors and founders to inform AWS innovation and to meet the evolving needs of tomorrows breakthrough companies

- 8 years of technology-related sales marketing or business development experience
- Experience influencing C-level executives / start-ups
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership or experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits)
- Knowledge of cloud computing services/deployment architecture
- Bachelors degree or 4 years of relevant technical position experience
- 5 years of Go-To-Market Business Development Sales or Consulting experience
- 4 years of management consulting strategy technology venture capital or a related industry experience
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills attention to detail and effective communication abilities or experience in technical support
- Experience in technology and commercial transactions or businesses
- Knowledge of key technology and market trends
