Why this role matters
Consistent usable IT policies reduce risk improve compliance and increase technology effectiveness. This role will ensure that requests are addressed in a timely manner by a pragmatic problem solver who can quickly learn context and synthesize responses while identifying opportunities to improve policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary coordinator for incoming inquiries about policy interpretation and standards partnering with the Policy & Governance leader to prioritize and assign follow-up.
Facilitate and where directed lead cross-functional discussions or working sessions with process leads and subject-matter experts to reach consensus on interpretation and required actions.
Draft clear responses and guidance in coordination with the Policy & Governance leader and relevant stakeholders; ensure timely communication with requestors.
Maintain a tracker of interpretation requests decisions rationales and follow-up actions and escalate unresolved or high-risk items to the Policy & Governance leader.
Identify recurring interpretation issues and misunderstandings to conduct thematic analysis to identify gaps in policies procedures training or communication to determine if further clarifications policy changes or additional training are needed; propose options and recommended next steps.
Contribute to continuous improvements by proposing policy simplifications automation opportunities (e.g. policy exception workflows) and metrics to measure policy effectiveness.
Foster strong relationships with policy owners and operational teams to ensure consistent interpretation and application of company policies.
Required qualifications
25 years of experience in IT support IT operations IT compliance information security IT project coordination or related functions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical language into businessfriendly guidance.
Comfortable working with stakeholders across technical and nontechnical teams; able to facilitate discussions and build consensus.
Strong attention to detail organization and ability to manage multiple competing requests.
Demonstrated curiosity initiative and desire to grow into strategic systemslevel thinking.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with collaboration tools namely SharePoint Confluence and Teams.
Basic understanding of relevant regulations (e.g. GDPR HIPAA SOC 2) or compliance frameworks.
Clear written communication and ability to produce concise actionable documents.
Empathy and customer service orientation to help employees comply without creating friction.
Initiative and learning agility to quickly acquire new domain knowledge and apply it.
Drive collaboration with strong facilitation skills and ability to work crossfunctionally.
Strategic mindset: an emerging ability to see systemic issues and propose longterm improvements.
