Our Ireland Water Team are leading the way in delivering the most critical water infrastructure projects across the country through major national programmes for Uisce Éireann (Irish Water). AECOM is proud to have been supporting Uisce Eireann since the inception of its Resident Engineer programme seven years ago and are currently on the lookout for Civil Resident Engineers (Senior REs REs & Assistant REs) to increase our existing team and support the delivery of Uisce Eireanns Capital Investment Plan.

As a Resident Engineer you will work with Uisce Éireann framework providers to ensure each project is constructed to the specified quality standards. The work will involve major water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects including new water and wastewater treatment plants and upgrades pumping stations water supply schemes WwBG sewer rehab and reservoirs projects across all counties in the Republic of Ireland.

Reflecting Uisce Éireann and AECOMs commitment to safety as a core value you will be an ambassador for safety in this role. You will proactively improve the safety culture and implement all safety policies and standards on the construction projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the delivery of site-based infrastructure projects on behalf of Uisce Éireann ensuring compliance with health & safety quality environmental programme and cost requirements.
  • Review and monitor Contractor documentation and performance including HSQE submissions (RAMS TMPs) CEMPs quality plans and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections safety reviews and quality audits ensuring works are completed in accordance with specifications and approved proposals and assist with incident investigations as required.
  • Supervise construction activities maintain detailed project records and support the coordination and monitoring of commissioning works to achieve timely project completion.
  • Administer commercial aspects of contracts including assessment of interim and final accounts variations claims and contractor performance against KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with the Project Team Employers Representative Local Authorities utility providers landowners and the public to ensure coordinated project delivery.

Qualifications :

Ready to push the limits of whats possible

Heres what were looking for:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in the site supervision of civil engineering construction works.
  • Experience working on major infrastructure projects including water and wastewater treatment plants pumping stations pipelines and other large-scale civil works.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation regulatory compliance safety auditing and RAMS review.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts including FIDIC and experience in the assessment of Contractor claims and payment applications.
  • Experience in reviewing design submissions and participation in Project Workshops.
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance Systems.
  • Able to travel to site.
