As our Commis Chef in our Breakfast Team you will be vital in keeping your kitchen section organized efficient and performing at a high standard while consistently meeting all service expectations and brand requirements. Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Prepare cook and present menu items to a high standard following recipes and supporting smooth breakfast and banquets operations.
- Collaborate effectively with the team assisting senior chefs contributing to departmental goals and ensuring strong cross-department relationships.
- Maintain and collaborate on stock rotation/ stock control processes to reduce wastage and maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Perform tasks within a timely manner to ensure high guest satisfaction.
Qualifications :
Whilst talent and attitude are our primary requirements ideally you also have:
- A passion for delivering a wonderful culinary experience to our guests.
- Previous experience in a similar role or currently studying culinary
- Understanding of workplace health & safety principles.
- NZ Food Safety certificate or the willingness to obtain one. Preferred but not essential.
- Flexibility - you are required to work a variety of shifts including late nights early mornings public holidays and weekends
