Description

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

To take maximum advantage of all the On Premise market sales potential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Protects and expands the On Premise Market to its maximum potential.
2. Studies and implements ways of developing each On Premise account to its maximum sales potential.
3. Solicits new On Premise accounts.
4. Follows-up with new and existing accounts to see that everything is in order and the dealers needs are being fulfilled.
5. Ensures follow-through on any sales leads received.
6. Solicits and places On Premise equipment on a profitable basis in old as well as in new accounts through the On Premise sales force.
7. Generates ways of getting information on potential basis in old as well as in new accounts.
8. Advises Tele-Sell Representatives Route Sales Reps and Merchandisers of sales programs that are available and what follow-through will be expected of them through their supervisors.
9. Helps develop programs and procedures for expanding the On Premise segment of the market.
10. Assures that On Premise equipment is updated and in best possible repair.
11. Sells the accounts on our products and packages by promoting benefits such as products profit service and people.
12. Sells and re-sells all dealers on the profitability of making our beverage portfolio of products available to their employees and/or customers.
13. Works with the sales supervisors Tele-Sell Representatives customer service representatives and route merchandisers to see that every member of the team is doing his part in achieving maximum sales results.
14. Keeps management informed of changes tools equipment and programs needed to be more effective.
15. Keeps abreast of competitive policies procedures and promotions.
16. Helps conduct training sessions to further develop and train the people assigned to all segments of the On Premise market.
17. Develops and manages incentive programs to be used during special emphasis periods.
18. Evaluates equipment placements for non-profitable full service accounts.
19. Has a working knowledge of the routing structure.
20. Handles any complaints effectively and efficiently.
21. Sets up and schedules ways and means of spot checking problem areas.
22. Keeps required reports up to date and submitted on time.
23. Enhances the image of the company and its products to all employees customers and consumers.
24. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in developing marketing strategies is preferred.
Knowledge of the beverage industry and products preferred.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Requires excellent oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate problem-solve listen to customer and employee concerns and make presentations.
Requires strong writing skills to prepare communications complete paperwork and prepare proposals.
Requires organization skills to manage time effectively and execute responsibilities.
Requires ability to perform advanced trade math functions.
Requires basic computer skills.
Requires strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound business decisions.
Requires a working knowledge of the routing structure.
A valid class D drivers license is required with satisfactory completion of Motor Vehicle Check according to Vehicle Safety Policy.


WORKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Occasionally exposed to extreme cold when checking inventory in customer coolers.
Exposed to outside weather conditions when going in and out of customer locations.
Spends the majority of the time in the market at customer locations.
Requires ability to work extended hours (10) or until all necessary work is completed each day. May be required to work weekends.
Requires local travel.

Ground to Waist Lift (Occasionally) up to 40# (cans 20 oz 2 liters)
Ground to Waist Lift (Occasionally) up to 55# (5 gallon bibs pre-mix tanks co2 tanks)
Ground to 60 (Occasionally) up to 40# (cans 20 oz 2 liters)
Ground to 60 (Occasionally) up to 55# (5 gallon bibs pre-mix tanks co2 tanks)

Carrying:
Front Carry (Occasionally) 25 foot carry up to 55# (cans 20 oz 2 liters 5 gallon bibs pre-mix tanks co2 tanks)


Pushing/Pulling:
Dynamic Pushing/Pulling (Rarely) 2-wheel cart loaded with up to 200# (10 cases cans kegs) for up to 500 feet
Dynamic Pushing/Pulling (Rarely) sliding product at variable heights (from floor to 60 level) from storage in truck/warehouse and while merchandising (up to 30#)
Dynamic Pushing/Pulling (Rarely) 2-wheel cart loaded with 165# up/down ramp

Ambulatory Activity:
Standing/Walking (Frequently) standing on variable surfaces throughout entire shift
Climbing (Rarely) Step up/down from 15-19 platform/step heights
Stairs (Rarely for Pre-Sell) Up/down multiple flights of stairs with and without product on two-wheel cart (up to 165#)

Repetitive use of hand/grasping: (Occasionally) Light to forceful manipulating/grasping of product carts doors.

Reaching: (Rarely) Up to 32 inches in front of body at floor to 60 heights while reaching for product.

Squatting/Stooping/Kneeling: (Occasionally) To as low as ground level while picking/stocking product.

Sitting: (Frequently) seated in car for variable durations between route stops
