Job Summary
Endocrinologist (MD/DO)
Position Summary
The Endocrinologist provides comprehensive evaluation diagnosis and management of disorders of the endocrine system. This role focuses on the treatment of hormonal and metabolic conditions through evidence-based medical care patient education and collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams to optimize long-term patient outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders including diabetes mellitus thyroid disease adrenal disorders pituitary disorders osteoporosis and lipid abnormalities
- Diagnose and treat complex hormonal imbalances and metabolic conditions
- Develop and implement individualized evidence-based treatment plans
- Provide longitudinal outpatient care and inpatient consultations as needed
- Interpret and manage endocrine-related diagnostic testing and laboratory studies
- Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists such as nephrology cardiology oncology and surgery
- Educate patients and families regarding disease processes treatment options and lifestyle management
- Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers diabetes educators and trainees as applicable
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement population health and patient safety initiatives
- Comply with all regulatory accreditation and professional standards
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited internal medicine or pediatrics residency
- Completion of an accredited endocrinology fellowship program
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism
- Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
- DEA registration or eligibility

- Manual dexterity for clinical examinations and office-based procedures
- Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient assessment and data interpretation
Requirements
Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
