Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN) (MD/DO)
Position Summary
The Obstetrician-Gynecologist provides comprehensive medical and surgical care to women across the lifespan. This role includes obstetric care gynecologic care preventive health services and surgical management of reproductive health conditions with a focus on evidence-based patient-centered care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric care including prenatal care labor and delivery management and postpartum follow-up
- Diagnose and manage high-risk and low-risk pregnancies as applicable
- Provide gynecologic care including well-woman exams contraception counseling and management of menstrual and menopausal disorders
- Diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions such as fibroids endometriosis pelvic pain and abnormal uterine bleeding
- Perform gynecologic and obstetric surgical procedures consistent with training and privileges including minimally invasive techniques
- Perform cervical cancer screening colposcopy and other office-based procedures
- Collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine primary care pediatrics surgery and other specialists
- Educate patients regarding reproductive health pregnancy and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement patient safety and clinical outcomes initiatives
- Supervise and collaborate with residents advanced practice providers and clinical staff as applicable
- Comply with all regulatory accreditation and professional standards
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
- DEA registration or eligibility

Work Environment
- Outpatient clinics hospital labor and delivery units operating rooms and inpatient wards
- Call coverage including nights weekends and holidays as determined by practice needs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during procedures and deliveries
- Manual dexterity for surgical and office-based procedures
- Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient care and operative environments
