Job Summary
Medical Assistant
Location:Willmar MN
Duration: 8 weeks with possibility of extension
Total Hours: 38 hours/week
Lunch Break: 12:00 PM 1:00 PM
Shift Schedule
Monday: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 6:00 AM 12:00 PM
Wednesday: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Thursday: 6:00 AM 11:00 AM
Friday: 6:00 AM 4:00 PM
Required Certifications
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
BLS or CPR Certification
Job Description
The Medical Assistant will support both front and back office operations including but not limited to:
Greeting and rooming patients
Scheduling appointments and answering phones
Taking vital signs
Drawing blood and performing phlebotomy
Administering vaccines
Performing EKGs and point-of-care testing
Providing additional clinical support as needed
Maintaining a collaborative and professional relationship with the care team is essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred
Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) required
Strong attention to detail communication skills and computer proficiency
Must-Have Skills
Front and back office experience
Phlebotomy
EKG
Point-of-Care (POC) testing
Scheduling
Rooming patients
Taking vital signs
BLS or CPR certification
