JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Special Outpatient Clinic provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Supervisor of Special Outpatient Clinic and in collaboration with orthopedic providers and the interdisciplinary care team. This position supports the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care to individuals with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
The LPN is responsible for rooming patients obtaining and documenting medical histories and vital signs assisting with examinations and procedures providing patient education related to orthopedic conditions and post-procedure care coordinating diagnostic testing and referrals and ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. The LPN also supports clinic workflow efficiency maintains exam room readiness adheres to infection control and safety standards and contributes to a positive patient experience.
This role reports directly to the Supervisor of Special Outpatient Clinic and works collaboratively with providers clinical staff and ancillary departments to ensure safe efficient and compassionate orthopedic care delivery.
