This role reports directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and plays a key part in supporting core accounting operations and month-end close across a dynamic multi-entity business.
What Youll Do
Month-End Close & General Accounting
- Support the month-end close process including preparation and posting of journal entries and accruals
- Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations (prepaids accruals fixed assets leases etc.)
- Maintain close calendars checklists and supporting documentation to ensure timely and accurate closes
Financial Reporting & Accuracy
- Support internal financial reporting by ensuring data integrity and completeness
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during close or audit processes
- Assist with variance analysis and collaborate with Finance to understand key business drivers
Process Improvement & Controls
- Help document and enhance accounting processes as the company scales
- Identify automation and efficiency opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards
Audit & Compliance Support
- Prepare audit support schedules and respond to auditor requests
- Assist with annual audit tax and other compliance initiatives
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 13 years of experience in corporate or public accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables lookups data analysis)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfort navigating ERP systems and financial platforms
- A proactive curious mindset with a desire to improve processes
