Job Summary

A respected growth-oriented law firm with a strong presence in the Southeast is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Attorney for its Charlotte office.

This is a high-impact role with long-term leadership and potential succession opportunity within a well-established real estate practice.

This position is ideal for a senior attorney who enjoys handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions while also stepping into a visible relationship-driven role within the firm and the market.

The practice includes a mix of developers investors lenders and commercial property owners across retail office industrial and mixed-use assets.

There is a clear path for the right attorney to grow into a leadership position within the practice over time.

  • Lead complex commercial real estate transactions from term sheet through closing

  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements leases development agreements and financing documents

  • Advise clients on acquisitions dispositions financing and development matters

  • Structure and negotiate sophisticated contracts across asset classes

  • Work directly with clients lenders and opposing counsel to move transactions efficiently

  • Collaborate with corporate tax and land use teams as needed

Qualifications

  • 10 years of commercial real estate transactional experience

  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation background

  • Ability to independently manage transactions

  • Experience handling high-value and complex matters

  • Portable business not required; some client relationships welcomed
