CNC Setup Technician (Milling)

Full-Time Day Shift
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision manufacturing company in the Greater Boston area seeking an experienced CNC Setup Technician with strong milling experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on machinist who enjoys working in a clean air-conditioned shop environment producing high-precision aluminum components.
Position Overview
The CNC Setup Technician will be responsible for setting up CNC milling machines (primarily Haas) creating and modifying programs machining precision parts inspecting components and maintaining in-process documentation to ensure quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Set up CNC milling machines (primarily Haas) to produce precision aluminum parts according to specifications and work orders

Create and modify CNC programs to improve production efficiency and accuracy

Operate CNC machines to execute production tasks

Inspect parts during and after machining to ensure compliance with tight tolerances
-
Use precision inspection tools including calipers micrometers and gauges
-
Perform deburring to ensure parts meet quality standards
-
Complete and maintain in-process production documentation

Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC equipment
-
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications

35 years of hands-on CNC machine setup experience
-
Milling experience required (Haas experience preferred)

Experience creating and modifying CNC programs
-
Strong proficiency using precision inspection tools (calipers micrometers gauges)

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
-
High school diploma or equivalent

This is a fully onsite role based in Hudson Massachusetts. Local candidates within a reasonable commuting distance are strongly preferred.
