This is an opportunity to positively disrupt an industry and pioneer groundbreaking change working with the highest performing Dairy farmers across South Australia. We are searching for a driven and high-performing Account Manager to support and grow Halter in the region. Serving as the primary point-of-contact for Halter customers you will be passionate about driving farmer success for one of the worlds fastest-growing companies that will transform how they farm to become leaders in productivity and sustainability.
You will be backed by a team of exceptional people in Australia and at Halters Auckland HQ to ensure this is the best job youll ever have.
Location -This role is ideally based anywhere in South Australia ideally in Adelaide or Mt Gambier. Frequent travel is required as part of the position.
Who are we looking for - these requirements are fundamental for this role. We expect applicants to demonstrate evidence of these requirements in their resume cover letter and in interviews.
- 3-5 years of experience in relationship management/account management roles.
- Experience in dairy farming or within the agriculture sector with a deep passion for helping farmers succeed.
- Strong business acumen.
- Positive attitude and collaborative team player who excels at overcoming challenges.
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced working environment with a high degree of autonomy.
- A hunger for success and personal growth and an eagerness to evolve alongside a world-class team.
- Problem Solving & Collaboration. Resourceful and quick-thinking you work well with cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive solutions.
- Willingness to Travel. Frequent travel within your territory to engage with customers and prospects.
What your day could look like
- Revenue Retention & Expansion: You will own the retention renewals and expansion targets of Halters existing revenue in the region.
- Ensure farmers are extracting full value from Halter to achieve their goals and ultimately understand the impact its having on their farming business.
- Account Management: Responsible for renewing customer agreements and expanding the revenue of existing Halter customers by adding value in every interaction to drive on-farm goals and performance.
- Deployment: Supporting the onboarding training and implementation of the Halter system on customers farms ensuring all relevant farm owners managers and workers are able to successfully use the system.
- Relationship Building: Proactively cultivate genuine and trustworthy relationships with farmers their teams and families fostering strong connections and understanding.
- Farmer Success: Strategically partnering with customers to establish clear business goals timelines priorities and metrics of success.
- Problem-Solving: Provide prompt and effective communication and support to farmers and team members addressing technical or operational challenges with expertise and efficiency.
- Community & Networking: Represent the Halter brand with pride lead local discussion groups and proactively build strong networks within the community for increased brand visibility and connections.
- Customer Advocate: Acting as the voice of the customer and bridging the gap with our product teams to provide important context about what is happening on the ground with our farmers and their animals.
- Technical Expertise: Working closely with our product teams to provide technical and practical advice from a farmers perspective on everything reproduction pasture and agronomy.
- Contribute to a positive team environment supporting others to succeed and role modelling Halters Operating Principles.

Halter in Australia:
Halter entered Tasmania two years ago and has rapidly expanded to now have 20% of the states dairy herd with Halter - a thriving customer base managed by a talented local team. Halter recently entered Queensland and NSW and now has a growing team and customer base across both states.
In Victoria and South Australia Halter is preparing to launch operations following recent regulatory approval for virtual Western Australia Halter does not yet have these states there is a groundswell of demand for Halter across thousands of Australia virtual fencing is regulated by individual states animal welfare legislation. Until recently several states had legislation that did not permit farmers to use high-quality virtual fencing technology. With NSW parliaments announcement regulating virtual fencing and Victoria and South Australia following suit these barriers are now lifting.
