Job Summary

Overview:

Schedule: Evenings (12p-10:30p) Monday Tuesday Thursday & Friday 40 hrs./week with on-call and holiday call responsibilities.

Assists anesthesia team by creating all IVs and IV setups
Sets up offsite anesthesia cases by transporting gas machines and Pyxisback stands
Responds effectively and efficiently to life-threatening situations
Team-structured work environment with high amounts of collaboration required

Job Description Summary:

Performs a variety of technical and supportive tasks to assist daily clinical operations. Performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

Prepares operating rooms for surgery by assisting with equipment and supply needs setup and routine maintenance.
Assists OR team with room turnover patient beds and transportation of case carts.
Maintains inventory of relevant surgical supplies and equipment.
Transports patients labs gross specimens and blood as necessary.

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Certifications:

BLS Certification preferred.

Skills:

Basic understanding of mechanical equipment.
Self-starter who requires little or no supervision.
Ability torespond appropriately tolife threatening situations.
Effective multitasking interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
Ability to workunder pressure in a stressful environment.
Working knowledge of supply chain ormaterials management.
Working knowledge of surgical and anesthesia procedures.

Experience:

Previous health care experience preferred.
