Overview:


Schedule: Evenings (12p-10:30p) Monday Tuesday Thursday & Friday 40 hrs./week with on-call and holiday call responsibilities.

  • Assists anesthesia team by creating all IVs and IV setups

  • Sets up offsite anesthesia cases by transporting gas machines and Pyxisback stands

  • Responds effectively and efficiently to life-threatening situations

  • Team-structured work environment with high amounts of collaboration required


Job Description Summary:


Performs a variety of technical and supportive tasks to assist daily clinical operations. Performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Prepares operating rooms for surgery by assisting with equipment and supply needs setup and routine maintenance.
  • Assists OR team with room turnover patient beds and transportation of case carts.
  • Maintains inventory of relevant surgical supplies and equipment.
  • Transports patients labs gross specimens and blood as necessary.

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Certifications:

BLS Certification preferred.

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of mechanical equipment.
  • Self-starter who requires little or no supervision.
  • Ability torespond appropriately tolife threatening situations.
  • Effective multitasking interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to workunder pressure in a stressful environment.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain ormaterials management.
  • Working knowledge of surgical and anesthesia procedures.

Experience:

Previous health care experience preferred.
