About the Role: Uniform Shop Assistant

The Uniform Shop Assistant provides customer-focused service to the SCBC community and supports the day-to-day operations of the College Uniform Shop under the direction of the Uniform Shop Manager. This includes managing stock operating the second-hand uniform supply assisting with daily shop tasks and ensuring a welcoming efficient and professional experience for families students and staff.
Please note: The role can be moderately physical including lifting boxes bending and restocking items on low and high shelves.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily shop operations including stock management and bookings
- Handle cash and assist with stocktakes and ordering
- Provide friendly customer service
- Record customer details and feedback
- Other duties as directed
Skills & Experience
- Work independently manage time and problem-solve
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Experience in busy environments and working with families/children
- Competent with Microsoft Office
- Retail school customer-facing or POS experience desirable
Essential Criteria
- A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ
- Active participation in a church or Christian community exemplifying Christian beliefs behaviour and practices
- Acceptance of the Colleges Statement of Faith
- Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board Principal staff students and parents
- Commitment to personal best practice
- Ensure decisions are impartial fact-based and fair
- Model appropriate and proper channels of communication
- Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos
- Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC
- Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the Colleges values and policies
Required Certifications:
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate (can be obtained at a later date)
