Job Summary

Geelong Grammar School is one of the worlds leading coeducational boarding and day schools offering exceptional education to all of its students from Early Learning to Year 12.


Our Toorak Campus Toorak (approximately 320 students) is located in Melbourne. It caters for day students from Early Learning to
Year 6. After Year 6 most students proceed to Corio. The Toorak campus has approximately 50 full time andpart time teaching and support staff.

About the Opportunity

As a Casual Relief Teacher you will step into our classrooms to provide a caring engaging and exceptional educational environment for our students. Working within a supportive and collaborative team you will help maintain continuity of learning while bringing your own creativity professionalism and warmth to the school day.

What Youll Do

Create learning that matters

  • Deliver stimulating inclusive and inquirybased learning experiences
  • Use diverse teaching strategies aligned with Reggio Emilia philosophy and the IB Primary Years Programme
  • Support students academic social and emotional development through a caring and responsive approach

Bring our classrooms to life

  • Maintain a safe positive and wellmanaged learning environment
  • Build strong respectful relationships with students staff and families
  • Communicate effectively about student progress where required

Contribute to our community

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and uphold school values
  • Follow school policies guidelines and dutyofcare expectations
  • Support cocurricular programmes and broader school life when applicable
What You Bring

Were looking for educators who demonstrate:

  • A strong understanding of current teaching practice and contemporary learning philosophy
  • Experience or familiarity with IB PYP and/or Reggio Emilia approaches
  • Excellent communication organisation and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for nurturing the whole child
  • Curiosity compassion courage - and a commitment to ongoing professional growth
Qualifications
  • A relevant 4year teaching qualification
  • Current VIT registration (including National Police Check)
  • Current First Aid and Anaphylaxis Management Accreditation
