Job Summary
Job Summary:Assistant Production Supervisor is responsible for providing support to the leadership team and supervision of the plants Batching Department. Performs duties that will assist the team in the production of aseptically packaged products in a safe clean work environment. As well as all functions relating to the batching process and equipment used to manufacture food products. Also provide feedback to R&D regarding plant trials and product formulations as well as plant capabilities and concerns in Functions of the Job: Leadership and ownership of the department job responsibilities and job Department KPIs with management support and report out on-site plant support during customer and R&D as a source of technical knowledge and expertise for the batching in the development of standard operating procedures trains employees and project closely with R&D regarding batching capabilities at the plant level and provides feedback on batch formulas prior to commercialization of and fixes faults as well as clearing any material jams in required quality checks to assure standards are clean and organized area around and resolve operating difficulties involving area routine and corrective maintenance on all mechanics in appropriate maintenance prepares and maintains all area and comfortable using a a variety of quality and food safety checks to ensure standards and specifications are distribute and maintain records and paperwork related to assigned with QA to make sure batch instructions are current and available for all quality safety and other with management to ensure effective organizational design and roles are correctly organized defined documented and communicated to all the hours/PTO/schedule of the batching conference & plant calls relating to product formulation and product to all other facility personnel regarding any delays or problems that would hinder follow all employee safety food safety and quality procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Responsible for making sure proper shift handoff with incoming/outgoing batching wear all required PPE such as protective gloves aprons face shields and safety to flex schedule to provide leadership support in the Batching Department for all shiftsAll other duties as Responsibilities:Oversees the entire Batching Department providing support to the Production Supervisors and provides leadership guidance to the Production Support Technicians. Location: SunOpta Plant at MN Street in Alexandria : Typically Monday through Friday 4 pm to 1 am.
