COMPENSATION:$25.63-$27.00/hr; Time and a half after 48 hours

SCHEDULE:May:5 day work week

JuneSeptember:6 day work week

BENEFITS (ON-SITE ONLY): Three meals a day free access to classes performances talks and studio usage.

The primary responsibility of the Operations Supervisor is to ensure all of the campus day-to-day operational logistics are properly supported. During the pre-season the Operations Supervisor works closely with the Events & Operations Manager to finalize and clarify organizational processes and systems as well as actively participate in the advancement of all Festival non-theatrical events and activities. During the Festival they support the Patron experience by managing the parking lot and the use of golf carts. They train supervise and schedule the Lead Parking Attendant and Operation Assistants who act as parking lot attendants and golf cart drivers. They also assist in the set-up of non-theater support and ancillary spaces on campus including dance studios tents and outdoor gathering places. The Operations Supervisor works closely with the Facilities Safety and Security to ensure that the parking lot and campus remain orderly and safe at all times and to enforce all safety policies and procedures.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create an accessible and collaborative work environment that enables staff to work together positively and safely.
  • Participate in advancing meetings for on-campus events/activities ensuring that all operational details are discussed clarified and finalized.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of all necessary paperwork including standard operating procedures schedules labor plans and safety information.
  • Actively participate in the planning and execution of seasonal opening and closing of the Festivals performance spaces studios exhibition spaces and temporary tents.
  • Supervise the safe operation and daily maintenance of the campus dance studios tents and outdoor gathering areas.
  • Train schedule manage and supervise a team of Operation Technicians.
  • Manage the safe use of the campus Parking Lots by training scheduling and supervising parking lot attendants.
  • Schedule and supervise a team of patron golf cart drivers consisting of Operation Technicians as well as interns and staff members.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure proper parking lot and golf cart coverage for all events and whenever the Festival is actively in performance.
  • Remain in constant communication with all departments as to non-production needs in tents and studios including but not limited to tables chairs fans and side walls.
  • Manage and Facilitate the setup and logistics of tents and studios for events with the support of the Operations Technicians as well as Production Staff as needed.
  • Assist and manage Operation Technicians during Weather Plan activation for the Henry J. Leir Stage performances as well as for other events taking place in tents or studios.
  • Support the Night Shift Manager in their responsibilities assigning Operation Technicians to facilities-related tasks as necessary.
  • Attend all departmental and production meetings including a weekly All-Staff Meeting and facilitate production and staff meetings as necessary.
  • Under the general direction of the DoTP assist with coordination of emergency response for staff and patrons in the event of an emergency or extreme weather.
  • Complete Adult/Child CPR First Aid and Cultural Competence Training (provided to all seasonal staff during the pre-season).


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years of professional management experience.
  • Ability to manage diverse teams resolve cross-cultural conflicts and apply an equity lens to decision-making hiring and scheduling.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with creating maintaining and facilitating organizational processes and systems.
  • Experience supervising and training team members ranging from teenagers through early career professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or facilities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with the Google App suite.
  • Customer service or other public-facing experience.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Valid drivers license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a performing arts environment.
  • Basic knowledge of theatrical production systems.
  • OSHA or other safety training.
  • Bystander intervention and crowd movement training or experience.
  • Conflict resolution training.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Working in wooded areas with exposure to native wildlife including but not limited to rodents ticks and mosquitos.
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions including inclement weather.
  • Working 6-day work weeks including early mornings late evenings and weekends during Festival weeks and non-Festival programming.
  • Moving equipment up to 50 lbs alone or with assistance.
  • Moving through and between multiple locations throughout the entire campus.
  • Remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Working at heights above 6 feet and up to 30 feet.
  • Ascending and descending straight and step ladders.
  • Operating push around or drivable person lifts including at heights.
  • Working in show conditions with theatrical and atmospheric elements including but not limited to: fog haze strobes dim lights and loud sounds.
