Job Title: Electron Microscope Technician

Location: 8531 NE Cornell Rd Suite B300 Hillsboro OR 97124

Total Regular Hours: 35 per week

Timings: 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM; 30 Minutes Lunch

Personnel area: Research and Development

Education: Bachelors degree

Experience: 2-5 years experience in electron microscopy preferably in a QC/ R&D environment

Job Description:

Client Electronics Materials located in Hillsboro OR is looking for a full-time technician to perform electron microscopy characterization during the 2nd shift and occasionally on the weekends.

DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will support R&D projects by on-time execution of SEM imaging and sample prep requests.
The candidate will be expected to work independently.
Communication and collaboration skills are needed to ensure maximum throughput is achieved in a fast-paced environment.
Hands-on SEM experience is a must have familiarity with FIB is preferred along with having some basic microscope troubleshooting skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to hand-on operate Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is required (2 years of experience).
Ability to operate Focused ion-beam (FIB) is preferred.
Preferred BS Degree in STEM with basic knowledge in semiconductor.
Familiarity with characterization techniques in general.
Expected to work independently with minimum supervision as well as part of a team.
Must be able to work on the 2nd shift most days with some weekend commitment needed occasionally.
