A well-established community hospital in Dickson Tennessee is seeking a dedicated Labor & Delivery Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to support leadership within Womens Services.
This acute care facility provides comprehensive obstetric services to the surrounding region and is committed to delivering safe compassionate and family-centered maternity care. The Labor & Delivery Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) assists in coordinating and supervising unit operations during assigned shifts. The CNC works closely with the Nurse Manager and Director to ensure high-quality patient-centered care while supporting staff engagement regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
This is a leadership role requiring strong clinical expertise in Labor & Delivery and the ability to provide real-time support coaching and clinical oversight.
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for Labor & Delivery staff.
Ensure adherence to evidence-based maternal and newborn care practices.
Promote patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
Assist with high-risk obstetric cases and emergency response as needed.
Support Neonatal Resuscitation and obstetric emergency readiness.
Coordinate daily staffing assignments and patient flow.
Assist in managing patient throughput from triage through delivery and recovery.
Monitor productivity and ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
Collaborate with physicians anesthesia and ancillary teams.
Support quality initiatives and patient satisfaction goals.
Participate in audits documentation reviews and regulatory readiness.
Assist with tracking and improving clinical metrics.
Provide coaching feedback and performance support to team members.
Assist with onboarding and competency validation.
Foster a collaborative respectful and team-oriented work environment.
Associate or Bachelors Degree in Nursing required
Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
Current Registered Nurse license (Tennessee or Compact/Multi-State) required
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
Minimum 23 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
Charge Nurse or leadership experience preferred
Strong clinical skills in obstetric emergencies and high-risk deliveries
