Job Title: Director of Trauma Program
Location: Fort Walton Beach FL

Trauma Designation: Level II Trauma Center
Position Summary
A Level II Trauma Center in Fort Walton Beach FL is seeking an experienced Director of Trauma Program to provide operational leadership for its trauma services. This role is responsible for overseeing trauma program operations performance improvement regulatory compliance and financial oversight across the organization.
This is a non-nursing-director leadership role and serves as the facilitys trauma subject matter expert working collaboratively with clinical and administrative stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily operations of the Trauma Program
Monitor trauma quality metrics clinical outcomes and performance improvement initiatives
Oversee trauma registry operations data abstraction and reporting
Manage trauma verification and re-verification processes
Coordinate trauma care across departments including Emergency Services surgeons and nursing teams
Support financial performance budgeting and efficient resource utilization
Supervise and lead a team of approximately 8 FTEs within the trauma program
Ensure compliance with trauma standards accreditation requirements and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications
5 years of recent acute care trauma leadership experience
(e.g. Trauma Program Manager Trauma Coordinator or similar role)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Associate Degree required
BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
Strong working knowledge of trauma standards and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication collaboration and leadership skills
