Your mission
Role Purpose
The Treasurer plays a key role in ensuring trust transparency and responsible stewardship of War Child Switzerlands resources. You help safeguard the foundations financial integrity so we can maximize our impact for children living with the daily realities of conflict.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee financial management budgets and annual financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with Swiss financial legal and foundation governance standards
  • Monitor financial planning across event initiatives and fundraising activities
  • Provide clear financial guidance to the board for strategic decision-making
  • Liaise with external auditors and the finance teams of War Child Netherlands and the War Child Alliance Foundation International
  • Strengthen donor confidence through transparency and sound financial oversight
Your profile
  • Senior financial expertise (finance accounting audit CFO/finance director profile)
  • Understanding of Swiss charity or foundation governance (a strong asset)
  • A practical hands-on mindset and comfort working across both strategic and operational levels
  • A valuable network within finance corporate or entrepreneurial communities and openness to mobilizing it
  • High integrity reliability and a commitment to transparent governance
  • Flexibility to support peak fundraising or reporting periods
  • Residing and/or working in Switzerland.

Eligibility Requirements
These roles are based in Switzerland. Applicants must be current residents of Switzerland and legally permitted to volunteer in Switzerland at the time of application.
