About the role:

• Draft review and negotiate retail and commercial leasing documents ensuring legislative compliance
• Manage leasing and commercial disputes including negotiations settlements and external counsel coordination
• Advise on a broad range of commercial contracts delivering practical business-focused guidance
• Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks supporting governance and regulatory frameworks
• Partner with internal stakeholders to provide timely commercially sound legal advice
• Maintain dispute reporting contract templates and legal processes to support effective risk management

The ideal candidate:

• 8 years post-admission experience in commercial & retail leasing
• Experience in property management environment is not essential but will be highly regarded
• Strategic critical-thinking capability strong judgement and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian commercial property regulatory framework particularly in relation to lease compliance and risk management strategies
• Comfortable operating autonomously in a senior in-house role
