| Job Description: | This position is for the entire summer of 2026 (both A & B) with the potential for continued employment but not guaranteed Student employees within the Reitz Union for this position must: - Be a current UF degree seeking student registered at a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester
- Deliver exceptional customer service while always maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Respond appropriately and assist with emergency situations and building evacuations in accordance with departmental procedures and/or direction from building management staff and supervisor(s)
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of Reitz Union programs services facilities as well as general familiarity with campus resources and directions
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Exhibit a strong work ethic by being productive self-motivated and dependable
- Attend and actively participate in all required meetings training sessions and evaluations
- Stay informed and up-to-date with all Reitz Union work related communications policies procedures and announcements
- Serve as an ambassador for all Reitz Union areas as well as the University of Florida by providing accurate information and connecting guests to appropriate resources
- Be available to work early morning evening and some weekend shifts
Position Specific Responsibilities: - Assist members of the University of Florida community and visitors by providing directions and general information regarding locations throughout the Reitz Union UF campus and surrounding Gainesville area
- Support visiting students and families during Summer Orientation (Preview) by answering general questions and directing them to Orientation staff for detailed information and assistance when necessary
- Serve as a point of contact during events held in the Reitz Union by responding to phone calls monitoring two-way radio and assisting guests with in-person questions
- Manage lost and found items by accurately logging tracking and assisting guests with item recovery as needed
- Complete all training requirements upon being hired in a timely fashion
- Commit to working a minimum of 10 hours per week
- Other duties as assigned

| Minimum Requirements: | This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) or Federal Work-Study (FWS) and must maintain a 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis up to 20 hours per week. Summer 2026 (both A & B) availability is required. |
