At Worley were delivering a more sustainable world. As a Senior Electrical Engineer youll apply advanced engineering expertise to support highimpact offshore developmentsstrengthening global energy infrastructure while contributing to a more sustainable future.
Purpose of the role
In this role youll work independently at an advanced engineering level applying deep knowledge of electrical systems regulations and international standards. Youll develop critical electrical philosophies specifications and deliverables for offshore facilities ensuring compliance safety and seamless integration with complex systems. As a senior contributor youll guide engineering teams influence key decisions and help shape reliable efficient and futureready solutions.
Core responsibilities
- Apply advanced electrical engineering principles across a wide range of tasks for offshore facilities.
- Develop electrical philosophies including power generation distribution redundancy black start capability and system integration requirements.
- Prepare electrical load lists covering MT BT HVAC utilities safety systems ESP and other key consumers.
- Perform hazardous area classification studies according to applicable standards.
- Develop general singleline diagrams and support the implementation of new UPS technologies.
- Prepare electrical equipment specifications data sheets UPS documentation and electrical MTOs derived from 3D models.
- Produce MT singleline diagrams and support subsea transitions from MT power and fiberoptic cables.
- Design subsea junction box interfaces for fiberoptic connectivity.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Mexican regulations (ASEA NOM LTMMH) maritime/coastal requirements and international standards (IEC ISO API ASME AMPP NFPA IEEE).
- Collaborate across engineering teams preparing highquality proposals presentations and reports.
- Work with broad objectives and priorities influencing multiple workstreams and disciplines.
- Provide seniorlevel guidance and oversight to engineers and designers (up to 10 direct reports).
- Uphold quality and accuracy while promoting continuous improvement.
Skills & experience
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Fluent English (required).
- Experience in offshore projects is mandatory (MUST).
- Deep understanding of electrical codes industry standards and regulatory frameworks including ASEA NOM LTMMH and major international standards (IEC/ISO/API/ASME/AMPP/NFPA/IEEE).
- Ability to work independently solving complex engineering challenges with sound judgment.
- Experience supervising engineering/design teams and supporting performance evaluations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to inform and persuade on complex technical matters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and Teams.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills able to manage information from multiple sources.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize meet deadlines and deliver work right the first time.
- Capacity to build strong professional relationships using diplomacy and clarity.
