Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our team at our Cincinnati OH location. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the accounting department including financial reporting budgeting and auditing.
- Ensure compliance with all local state and federal financial regulations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements reports and forecasts to provide insights for decision-making.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
- Manage cash flow and financial planning activities.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff fostering a collaborative team environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar financial management role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
