World Leader in Glucose Monitoring Abbott Diabetes Care designs develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. Our Centre of Excellence in Witney is at the heart of innovation producing electrodes and biosensors that support the day-to-day management of diabetes. The site has played a key role in the development of the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System and its successors including FreeStyle Libre 2 FreeStyle Libre 3 and Libre Sense.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in Witney. This is a key role partnering closely with R&D Clinical Affairs Regulatory Affairs & Complaints managers to support planning forecasting and investment decisionmaking across our innovative programmes.
In this role youll play an integral part in ensuring financial clarity and accountability within highvalue R&D environments. Youll proactively engage with cost centre owners support capital project oversight and contribute to monthend cycles that help drive our business forward.
Youll take ownership of areas such as:
Partnering with R&D Clinical Affairs Regulatory Affairs and Complaints managers to update and deliver forecasts aligned with business goals
Leading regular cost reviews with cost centre managers analysing variances and tracking headcount requirements
Managing and controlling capital cash flow collaborating with engineers and project managers on major R&D investments
Ensuring timely capitalisation of business assets
Supporting monthend activities including journal postings submission of results and variance analysis in line with accounting standards
Youll be a proactive and analytical finance professional who enjoys partnering with technical and operational teams. Youll bring strong organisational skills attention to detail and the confidence to challenge support and influence stakeholders across the business.
To be successful you will ideally have:
Strong financial analysis skills with experience working closely with business managers
Advanced Excel capability (pivot tables lookups modelling etc.)
Experience or background in management accounting (desirable)
A confident collaborative approach to business partnering
Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial insights clearly
The ability to work in a fastpaced environment with shifting priorities
