THE OPPORTUNITY

Abbott Nutrition develops science-based nutrition products designed to support people across all stages of life. Within the Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain (ANSC) organization this role sits in Global Design Assurance helping ensure that product and ingredient designs meet the highest standards of safety quality efficacy regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

The selected professional will collaborate with R&D Technical Centers and Plant Operations to ensure robust product design manufacturability of new formulations and ingredient qualification in alignment with Abbotts global quality and regulatory standards.

WHAT YOULL DO

  • Review Quality documentation and ensure appropriate design review is conducted.

  • Monitor product process and packaging quality performance to identify issues and trends.

  • Partner with cross-functional peers and operations to develop and implement corrective actions.

  • Analyze data and situations of moderate complexity using defined criteria.

  • Demonstrate technical competence in data analysis and product-related calculations.

  • Collaborate widely across the technical organization.

  • Identify and align on design criteria negotiating trade-offs and balancing quality with other functional needs.

  • Apply working knowledge of regulations labeling requirements processes and product interactions.

  • Interpret global regulatory requirements for Abbott nutritional products and ensure compliance.

  • Ensure design and testing activities for all Abbott Nutrition products meet applicable regulations.

  • Support ingredient qualification ensuring that ingredients meet expected quality standards and are handled compliantly.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in a science-related field (Food Science Chemistry Microbiology or related technical discipline).

  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • High level of accuracy critical thinking and analytical capability.

  • Ability to interpret data from diverse global regions and collaborate with teams across time zones.

SKILLS / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters degree in a scientific discipline (preferred).

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards related to infant formula and nutritional products.

  • Experience with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to organize and communicate technical information effectively.

  • Strong collaboration skills across technical and operational teams.

  • Comfort working in multicultural environments and managing cross-regional technical inputs.
